Nicole Tiley, Head of School

Allison Oswandel , Principal

Ms. Oswandel is the Principal at Pikes Peak Online School, she has been with K12 since 2016. Ms. Oswandel earned her MA in Educational Leadership from Regis University and is currently pursuing her doctorate from Grand Canyon University. Throughout her career, Ms. Oswandel has taught at all levels from early childhood to college and in all subject areas. She is passionate about building strong relationships with staff, students and families, getting students on their path to success, and providing the support and guidance along the way.

Susan Nozick, Assistant Principal

Ms. Nozick is in her first year as Assistant Principal at Pike's Peak Online School. She brings with her 15 years of experience in public school and degrees from both the University of Miami and Texas State University. She has worked for a variety of campuses including large high schools, dropout prevention, and residential treatment.

Kimber Podsedek, Operations Manager

Ms. Podsedek is the Manager of School Operations for all three Colorado schools. Kimber has been with K12 since 2007. Before her role as Manager of Operations, she worked at a High School Advisor. She loves working with all our wonderful staff and families to support all the different learning options our schools have.

Lisa Balagat, Assistant Manager of Operations

Lisa Balagat is the Assistant Manager of School Operations for all three Colorado schools. She has been with K12 since 2013. She has worked in education for nearly 30 years in many support staff positions from classroom assistant, attendance clerk, counseling secretary and registrar.

Stacy Altman, Director of Special Services

Stacy Altman is the Director of Special Services for CPA and PPOS. She joined K12 as a special education teacher in 2005 and has been working in her current position for 10 years. She brings more than 22 years of experience in education. Stacy earned a BA in Psychology and a master’s degree in Special Education. She holds multiple certifications in special education.

Julie Casten, Family Engagement Administrator

Mrs. Casten is the Family Engagement Administrator for CPA and PPOS and joined the K12 family in 2014. She brings more than 8 years’ experience in education, community service, school start up, family engagement and support. Julie earned a BS from Colorado State University.

Michelle Taylor, Registrar

Mrs. Taylor is a registrar who joined the K12 team in July of 2018. She has worked in secondary education for over 13 years. Michelle earned her BS in Exercise Science from Pacific University in Oregon, and her MAT in Athletic Training from Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center. She is currently working on her MBA, and in her limited free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and watching sports.

Jennifer Lauderdale, Truancy Officer

Mrs. Lauderdale is the Truancy Officer who joined the K12 team in 2017. Jennifer received her BA degree in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Sociology from California State University, Bakersfield. After moving to Colorado in 2008, she worked for 6 years for the 18th Judicial District Juvenile Assessment Center, where she had the privilege of working with children and their families throughout Arapahoe, Douglas, Elbert, and Lincoln counties by coordinating services and navigating the juvenile justice system.

Mary Lou McNatt, Enrollment Coordinator

Ms. McNatt serves as the School-Based Enrollment Coordinator with our K12 schools in Colorado. She has worked for K12 for the past thirteen years. As a graduate from Regis University with a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management she enjoys working to support online schooling.

Melissa Carpenter, Testing Coordinator

Melissa Carpenter is the Testing Coordinator for the Colorado K12 schools. She joined the K12 team in 2014. She was most recently the Electives High School teacher for Colorado Preparatory Academy. Melissa earned a BS in Physical Education from Clearwater Christian College and a MS in Sports Management from Missouri Baptist University. She is currently working on completing her Principal License from Colorado State University. She has 14 years of teaching experience as a PE/Health teacher in the private and public school settings for K-12 grade.

Teree “Susan” Wall, Office Administrator / Special Services Registrar

Ms. Wall works for K12 supporting the three K12 schools in Colorado (CPOA, PPOS, CODCA) as the Office Administrator and Special Services Registrar since 2008. She has more than 40 years’ experience in office administration and education fields. Susan holds certificates in business management, early childhood education, and holds a CNA Associates Certification. She has embraced multiple positions while employed at K12 Operations and currently supports the special services staff obtaining special services records as the special service registrar.
